What you can work on
Long game
Driver and irons in the coaching bays, where you can watch the real ball flight and check the numbers on screen.
Short game
Chipping and pitching, with the Par 3 course a few steps away to take it straight onto grass.
Putting
Stroke, start line and pace, on the putting studio and the green.
Indoor sessions
The simulator room is heated and private, and it’s where most of the winter coaching happens.

Joe co-owns Country Golf, and his academy has run from the site for the last six years. He turned professional in 2018 to work with golfers of every ability, and he is a Mizuno ambassador.

I’ve never played before. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Complete beginners make up a big part of the coaching here, and the first session sets a comfortable starting point.
Do I need my own clubs?

No. There are clubs to borrow, so you can start before buying anything.
What should I wear?

Clothes you can swing in, and trainers or golf shoes. Sessions run indoors and out, so bring a layer.
How often should I have lessons?

Every two to three weeks suits most golfers. That’s long enough to practise a change without losing it.
What if I need to cancel?

Please give 48 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange, so the slot can go to another golfer.
Can I buy a lesson as a gift?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available for any lesson, block or group session.
